Please verify the dosage of Azitrolek (200 mg/5 ml) for a child 3.5 years old (14 kg). The doctor prescribed 5 ml once a day for 6 days (a total of 1200 mg / 85.7 mg/kg of treatment). The doctor argues that such a high dose is based on the schemes she used in the hospital. My doubts: The standard dose in the SmPC is 30–60 mg/kg. Here we have almost 86 mg/kg. Symptoms: high fever (39.4°C), hoarseness and clogged ears, but no severe sore throat, slightly sore throat in one ear. Is such a "hospital" dose administered at home in the absence of acute angina safe for a 3-year-old? Doesn't it carry too much risk of side effects?

I will share my opinion about Mysimba, because when I started I searched the Internet myself.
