Limitations of e-prescriptions The most important changes for patients: a) "to issue a prescription for a psychotropic drug, the doctor will have to personally examine the patient (with one exception)" b) "Remote prescription for psychotropic drugs will be possible only if less than 12 months have passed since the last examination and the visit at which these drugs were prescribed" However, it is as always, "wicket": "The condition of examining the patient will not apply to chance, referred to in Article 42(2) of the Act of 5 December 1996 on the professions of doctor and dentist (Journal of Laws of 2022, item 1731, as amended). Under that provision, a doctor may, without examining the patient, issue a prescription necessary for the continuation of treatment and an order for the supply of medical devices as a continuation of the supply of medical devices, if this is justified by the patient's state of health as reflected in the medical records' and 'They oblige the person issuing the prescription to examine the patient personally during the inpatient visit or, under certain conditions, to examine the patient through the systems ICT or communication systems and verification of the amount and type of such drugs previously prescribed to the patient", i.e. analyzing the above, the doctor will continue to make a decision ;) After all, it may recognize the need for treatment, without a visit dictated by the patient's state of health ;)
