Sudden pressure spikes and tachycardia.
Good morning. On Tuesday, December 5, at night, I got a blood pressure spike and my heart was beating very fast. I had 148/89 heart rate of about 130. Please take into account that normally I have a blood pressure of 100/60 ; 110/70 more or less, so for me such a wkok is already a lot. From Tuesday onwards I felt bad all the time, but I took Propranolol and it worked out. Yesterday on Saturday morning 09.12 my blood pressure jumped again to 150/100 and I had 180 pulse. I called an ambulance. I was given hydroxyzine. After a while, these values slowly decrease. I was supposed to go to the hospital to see a doctor. The doctor said he didn't know what was going on, the paramedics didn't know either, but they suspected it was because of the antibiotics I had taken before, I had to take 3 different antibiotics since September. The last one was 2 weeks ago for cystitis.
As for the symptoms, since Tuesday I have also had a runny nose, nasal congestion and sore throat. I feel a lot of tiredness, tightness in the chest and throat, sometimes also chest pain, it is difficult for me to eat, I often have a feeling of fullness in my stomach, sometimes shortness of breath. I have trouble sleeping in general. ECG okay butts but fast pulse, I did a urine culture due to cystitis, clean, creatinine normal.
I've been taking Evra patches for 8 months now, I've never had any problems with them except for temporary spotting. I did my last check-up in October. Blood clotting was good, liver tests were good, all tests were normal. This week on Monday I peeled off the patch and I have my period, but my period is weird too. Much more stingy than normal. Could something be wrong with me from the patches? I'll just add that I've had a blocked ear for a good 3 months and at the first pressure spike on Tuesday I felt a lot of pressure and pain in it. I was afraid that I was filling the drum.
I'm being treated for Hashimoto's, I'm taking iron for anemia. I used to be treated for depression and neurosis, but the psychiatrist decided to end the treatment and I have been under the care of a psychologist ever since. I often have headaches and sometimes feel strange sensations in my hands. Before, I had pain in my lower jaw on the left side for a while.
I had my heart checked about a year ago, the cardiologist said that everything was fine, but it was accelerated by neevics and I understand that neurosis remains forever and attacks can be repeated, but these jumps feel completely different, I don't know how to explain it, but they don't look like a neurosis or panic attack, they start typically with tachycardia and blood pressure spikes. On Monday I'm going to see an ophthalmologist and I'm going to check my blood pressure from an ENT specialist and hopefully to a family doctor, but I also have to apply the Evra patch on Monday and I'm wondering if it's going to be safe. I will also try to get in touch with a gynecologist.
I'm sorry, I know it's a very long and complex question, but maybe something catches your eye? I hope I've mentioned everything. Thanks in advance for any replies. Best regards
