On 09.09.2025, I was implanted with an Implanon NXT implant. At the same time, I was supposed to take one more pack of Vibin Mini, which I had been using for over half a year. I have been on hormonal contraception since February 2024. I've also been treated for IBS for a year now, which has relatively regulated over the past few months. On Monday 06.10 I took the last Vibin Mini tablet and two days later the frequency of bowel movements and the consistency of the stool itself changed. Until now, loose stools were rare. Since Wednesday, i.e. 08.10, I have been defecating once a day, but it can alternate with compacted or just loose stools. I haven't changed anything in my way of eating. The only change concerns the implant I have - the body only accepts the hormones it releases and I have finished oral contraception. Can an implant really affect the intestines in this way? Can we assume that I am currently in a transitional period? I will add that I do not have any stomach pain, nausea or vomiting. I feel good. Can such a single donation of looser stool affect the effectiveness of the implant?
