Good morning: Can taking Quetaplex 25mg result in a complete ability to fall asleep on its own? Details. As of October 2022, I have chronic insomnia that has no diagnosed cause. Any methods of sleep hygiene or physical exercise during the day have no effect on it. I have no mental problems. In February, I started taking various medications prescribed by the doctor, e.g. Hydroxyzinum, but each one gave side effects or did not work at all, but only Quetaplex worked. Each time I fall asleep after it about 1 hour after taking it. I used it occasionally for acute insomnia, sometimes I took it 7 days in a row before bedtime. As it caused severe weight loss, I stopped it at the beginning of April. For 2 weeks since then I slept almost normally, after 5-8 hours a day. Over a week ago I could not fall asleep for 5H so I took Quetaplex again. After that, all the nights were identical. So I lie down as always at 23.00 and if I do not take Quetaplex, after which I sleep normally (up to 8H), I will lie down until the morning, not feeling tired at all. Could something have changed in my brain from taking this drug? I've never had anything like it. Previously, my insomnia consisted of sleeping too little, but I fell asleep right away, not that I could not fall asleep at all. I am 28 years old and no factor could cause me insomnia. Extended blood tests, EEG, ultrasound of organs I have good.
