My 15th daughter has not had her period for three months, although she has already had periods since she was 13 years old. The gynecologist prescribed her Lutein 50 mg tablets twice a day, i.e. in the morning and in the evening under the tongue. My daughter doesn't want to take them because she read that there are no studies on side effects in girls/teenagers taking this drug. I did quite a lot of blood tests and hormonal tests and everything came out well except for elevated leukocytes and monocytes and low macros. Of course, I understand my daughter is maturing and for several years there have been effects in the form of acne, and menstruation, which she has had for quite a long time, but at the same time I am worried about these symptoms such as acne, hair on the legs, hair loss, general stress at school and general nervousness and lack of menstruation. Another reason for my concern is her eye problem, my daughter has to wear glasses and contact lenses. So far, my daughter has not yet had tests done for glucose, i.e. sugar, blood level, and cortisol when it comes to stress. Of course, we are in contact with a gynecologist, who will probably do more tests and my daughter eats healthy, but please write what may be the cause of these symptoms and what tests I should do or which specialist is best to contact. I will add that my daughter is a very good, ambitious student and is not pregnant. Could its symptoms be related to polycystic ovary syndrome or high stress, or could the cause be different? I ask for guidance and help from a specialist, because medical care is such a long process that it seems tiring for both me and my daughter, that the doctor cannot make a diagnosis, but medications are immediately prescribed that can have side effects that we know nothing about when it comes to children.
