Did I do the right thing by changing the tablets from Elin to Atyvia Daily?

I was advised to change the pills from Elin to Atywia daily, I was to finish the blister and start using Atywi after a 7-day break for bleeding, just as I would normally start another Elin blister. Has the protection been preserved?
