If I skipped the bleeding break - am I still protected from 1 tablet of the new pack?
20.00 zł

I took two blisters of anti-two-component tablets continuously. Currently, I want to take a break - after taking the last tablet. Am I still protected during the break? And after the break, with the first tablet of the next blister, am I also protected?

Yes. If you take the pills at the same time every day, without omissions, you are constantly protected, even during a break for bleeding. If you have taken two packs of medicine without a bleeding break, you are still protected. In general, I would not recommend skipping the bleeding break too often, because it is not beneficial for the body in the long run, and skipping the break can lead to the occurrence of mid-cycle spots. The key to the effectiveness of oral contraception is to use it every day at the same time and avoid the use of those drugs that can realistically reduce the effectiveness of protection against pregnancy. Taking up to 3 g of paracetamol per day does not affect the effectiveness of contraception.

Apap Extra at therapeutic doses does not affect the effectiveness of contraception.

Could taking apapu an extra hour after taking the contraceptive pill affect the effectiveness of protection against pregnancy?

I know you can't exceed the dose of 3000mg, it was only one tablet, nevertheless taken an hour after the anti

To @Ankaa:

The preparation ensures proper hydration, promotes regeneration and renewal of the corneal epithelium. The bilberry solution relieves the symptoms of eye irritation and inflammation. Under physiological conditions, adequate moisture of the corneal surface is ensured by a thin layer of tear fluid adhering to the surface of the eye.

These drops, as well as other eye drops available in pharmacies with or without prescription, do not affect the effectiveness of contraception.

Here you can compare the prices of these drops in online pharmacies and order them with home delivery or pickup at the pharmacy:

No, cabbage will not affect the effect of birth control pills.

Ankaa (Anonymous, 77.45.63.) 7 months ago

Can cabbage (small head) prepared for noodles - not pickled, but boiled, ground and lightly fried affect the effectiveness of tablets?

Portion of the dish eaten about 2 hours before taking the tablet

Apparently, the tablet can also be taken with food, but here I was concerned whether the amount of possible vitamin C will not weaken its effect

Thank you in advance for your answer:)

For @Ankaa: Such a liquid connected to electricity and its possible vapors in no way affect the effectiveness of contraceptive pills.

Hello. Can a plug-in Bros Electrofumigator with an insecticidal liquid (mosquitoes, flies) affect birth control pills? We have a unique plague of mosquitoes and at night I plug such a device into the socket and I am afraid that despite everything, staying in the room and "inhaling" this liquid, it may affect the effectiveness If necessary, I can prescribe the composition of the liquid

After a 7-day break, you can take 1 tablet also at this time, and it will not affect the effectiveness. There is no need to take the first tablet at 20. You can immediately set the time of taking tablets from the new package at 22-23. Protection will continue to be provided.

Anka (Anonymous, 77.45.63.) 10 months ago

Yes, the previous 21 tablets I took between 22:30 and 23:30 So after a 7-day break I can take 1 tablet also at this time, and it will not affect the effectiveness? The thing is that it's quite late, almost the next day and I'm worried if it will be like 8 days break instead of the normal 7. For example, I can take 1 tablet earlier, at 20. The question is after how many days of taking the pills, I can change the time again to 22-23

For @Anka: It is important to take the contraceptive pill according to the manufacturer's instructions and doctor's recommendations. In general, there is some flexibility as to the time of taking the first tablet after a 7-day break, but it is worth keeping some guidelines. When it comes to starting a new pack after a break, it is important to take the first tablet in the same scheme as the previous pack. If you took your pills at 23:00, you should not have a problem taking your first tablet at that time on Friday evening. It is important to continue taking the contraceptive pill as instructed, at the same time every day, to maintain their effectiveness. If you have any doubts or questions about taking birth control pills, it is always worth consulting a gynecologist who will be able to best respond to your individual needs and clarify any doubts. The GdziePoLek.pl service also allows you to obtain a teleconsultation with a doctor: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja/z-ginekologiem

After a 7-day correct break - the last tablet taken on Thursday, does the new packaging started on Friday after the break, affect the effectiveness of the time of taking the first tablet? The most convenient hour of admission for me is 23, but it's so "almost" Saturday - isn't it too late hour to take 1 tablet after a 7-day break?

Using an air freshener with a carbon filter in no way affects the effectiveness of birth control pills. The effectiveness of drugs may be affected by activated charcoal taken orally in tablets or capsules - it has adhesive properties and may weaken the effectiveness of other drugs taken in parallel. However, this is not related to the use of an air filter. Bleeding or spotting has no effect on the result of the urine pregnancy test.

Anonim (Anonymous, 83.26.19.) 10 months ago

And if I took a test that was negative, but I had a slight bleeding/vaginal discharge, is the result reliable?

Anka (Anonymous, 77.45.63.) 10 months ago

One more question - at home I have an air freshener that has a carbon filter in it. I understand that activated carbon can interact with anti pills, especially if it is taken too close to taking the contraceptive pill However, can such a carbon filter in an air freshener that works 24/7 have any effect on the absorption of tablets?

That's right, it shouldn't affect. You have no cause for concern, greetings.

Anka (Anonymous, 77.45.63.) 11 months ago

Thank you for your reply Tablets taken without omissions, only sometimes there were small shifts in the hour of use by 30 minutes one way or the other, but I guess it should not still affect

Anna Tyrańska Pharmacist, Editor

Yes, you are still protected. The use of two packs of the drug in a row without a break for bleeding does not impair the effectiveness of the drug. After taking active tablets from the next package, after a break for bleeding - you are also still protected. As I wrote, it is crucial to take active tablets every day at the same time without skipping - then the protection is fully preserved.

Anka (Anonymous, 77.45.63.) 11 months ago

I mean whether the use of two packages somehow strains the continuity of effectiveness, whether during the break (previously using these two op. without interruption) is maintained and whether with the intake of 1 tablet from the next blister after the break, the effectiveness is still maintained

Anka (Anonymous, 77.45.63.) 11 months ago

But during the break after these two accepted blisters without a break, am I protected? After a 7-day break, after taking two blisters without a break, am I protected with 1 tablet of the next one? Please reply quickly
