Good morning. He suffers from asthma. Unfortunately, I do not tolerate bronchodilator drugs such as formoterol and salmeterol or ventolin. Therefore, my pulmonologist recommended that I take budesonide alone 2x400mcg per day, clatra 20 mg, montelukast 10 mg and temporarily Atrodil. However, I noticed that budesonide affects my blood pressure and sugar (I have insulin resistance). The pulmonologist said that inhaled drugs have no effect on this. However, the family doctor told me that after all, inhaled drugs are absorbed to some extent in the lungs, especially budesonide, and can actually sometimes cause such effects in some people. I have to ask at the next visit of the pulmonologist about the change of drug. On the Internet I read that there are other inhaled steroid drugs that do not have such a systemic activity as budesonide. Is this true? What kind of drugs are these? Kindly ask for information.
