Can I take Microgynon with other medications?
I am being treated for the spine, apparently I am at risk of a stroke because I have it destroyed. I am currently taking Pregabalin 1x in the morning, after finishing it will replace me with Depratal and in the evening 1/2 tablet of sidural. Occasionally Olfen or Doreta or Coxitex but it is with mega pains very rarely. I am almost 50 years old and very rare symptoms of menopause i.e. hot flashes 2x a month, heavy menstruation. Besides, I have 2 fibroids 3cm. Can I take this medicine with these other medicines? Does it make sense at this age? And I smoke cigarettes.

It is difficult to propose a specific method of treatment based on such a short description. I encourage you to make an appointment with a gynecologist who will adjust the treatment according to your current clinical condition. According to current medical literature, Microgynon should not enter into any harmful interactions to health or the effects of drugs. Please use caution when using analgesics (Doreta, Olfen, Coxitex), because the combination with Depratal and Pregabalin may increase side effects. Please note that the more medications a patient takes, the greater the risk of adverse interactions between them. Already taking two drugs at the same time creates a risk of undesirable interactions at the level of 13-14 percent. If a patient takes 8 to 10 medications at the same time, it is almost certain that there will be interactions between them and there will be interactions that negatively affect the patient's health. This problem applies especially to the elderly, treated for several diseases at the same time.
