I do not understand the opinion that "The use of contraception while taking Minoxidil is advisable"

Perhaps I expressed myself vaguely. Minoxidil in oral form should not be taken by pregnant women due to its harmful effects on fetal development. Sexually active women should use effective methods of protection against unplanned pregnancy during oral treatment with this preparation.

"Should a break of a few hours, i.e. 6 hours, be enough for the drugs not to interfere with each other? how long does it take for Slinda to absorb? Do you have to take it to the minute? Can it be fluctuations an hour earlier/an hour later?"

Yes, a 6-hour break will be sufficient.

The maximum concentration of the active substance in plasma occurs approximately 3-4 hours after taking Slinda.

The tablets should be taken at the same time if possible. This allows for precise control of dosage and guarantees the effectiveness of the drug declared by the manufacturer, while - as a rule - differences of 30-60 minutes will not have a significant impact on the performance of the product.

Low doses of oral Minoxidil are usually well tolerated, but this is not the standard treatment procedure (unlike preparations applied externally to the skin), so additional studies are needed to assess the long-term effects of the treatment on the body. For the same reason, it is difficult to assess possible interactions of the drug with hormonal contraception, although scientific reports do not indicate the risk of impaired contraceptive pills. The use of contraception while taking Minoxidil is advisable (the drug cannot be used during pregnancy and by women planning motherhood). I suggest taking Slinda at a time apart from dermatological treatment (preferably at a different time of the day) to avoid the risk of malabsorption from the stomach.

In case of any doubts, I encourage you to use the teleconsultation with a gynaecologist - the service is available on our website in the e-visit tab:
