No. The active substance in Guajacuran is guaifenazine. Guaifenesin – is an expectorant. These drugs are used in case of excessive production of sticky mucus in the airways. Under normal conditions, the secretion of the respiratory tract has a protective function – it prevents the mucous membrane from drying out and enables the proper functioning of the cilia of the respiratory epithelium. The drug does not reduce the effectiveness of hormonal contraception - there is no reason to worry.
