Good morning. On the second tablet of Atywia Daily, I had sex with a partner with eczema inside. However, the day before I had severe pain and slight diarrhoea and I was not sure if the pills worked. I got an escapelle from the doctor. Do I have to protect myself extra after taking the escapelle or am I protected all the time? Best regards

The pill after Escapelle does not affect the effectiveness of the Atywia Daily contraceptive pill and after taking it, you should continue taking the pills according to the scheme. Additional protection may be necessary for 7 days after the onset of diarrhoea, which may have affected the absorption of the dose and reduced the effectiveness of contraception. D0@Jola: If there was no diarrhoea and you took the previous pills correctly - yes, the protection would be maintained despite taking Escapelle.
So if she did not miss any pills before or had diarrhea or vomiting, it means that contraception works despite taking escapelle??
