Should emergency contraception be used? Good morning, I have been using Atywia Daily tablets for 8 months and I have never forgotten to take the drug. I am currently on the 5th day of a new blister and I had intercourse without additional protection. For the first time, the partner "ended up in me" and I have my own fears. Does it make sense to go get an emergency pill? But should we put stress aside and not worry about it?

Properly used hormonal contraception is a very effective method of preventing pregnancy and in the described case there are no medical indications for the use of emergency contraception - it is intended for use in the event that the contraceptive method used has failed or was used incorrectly.
