If contraceptive protection was reduced in the previous cycle, will the protection return after taking the first pill from the new package?

After a whole month of taking birth control pills including diarrhea of vomiting, has the protection been disturbed, but after a 7-day break when I take 1 tablet from the new package, will the protection return?

In a situation where contraceptive protection was reduced in the previous cycle due to the occurrence of gastrointestinal disorders, the use of one pill from the new package will not lead to an increase in contraceptive protection. According to available sources, in order to maintain protection against pregnancy at an appropriate level, the tablets should be used for at least 7 days. During the first week of taking, the tablet does not provide adequate protection, so it will be advisable to use additional contraceptive protection, e.g. a condom, during this time.
