Could COVID medication have affected the birth control pills somehow?

Hello. Currently I take zoely I am indicated after the first package. I switched to them from slinda. Withdrawal bleeding occurred on the first day of the active tablet. And so it is already three days. I'm currently going through COVID or the medication may have affected the pills somehow. Thank you for your reply

Ibuprofen does not affect the effectiveness of contraceptive pills. Fervex and Gripex contain the same active substance - paracetamol. If you have taken more than 3000 mg of paracetamol within 24 hours, this may have affected the effectiveness of Zoely and caused spotting. However, it should be remembered that spotting may also result from the adaptation of the body to a new contraceptive drug, which I wrote about here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/app/opinie-i-pytania/42078/vines-czy-to-normalne-ze-bol-piersi-nasila-sie-przed-krwawieniem-z-odstawienia

I do not know what medications you are taking, so it is difficult for me to assess whether they could have affected the Zoely tablets.

User questions and answers that provide feedback about products are not verified for the purchase or use of the product. Companies often order anonymous comments to form positive opinions about their products, or negative ones about competitors. Therefore, be guided by the information in the pharmacists' responses in the first place.
