Does licorice tea affect the effectiveness of Vibin Mini contraceptive pills?

Hello, unfortunately on the leaflet of the drug Vibin Mini there is no information on this subject. He has been using vibin mini for half a year now. Recently I drank tea, and then I realized that it contains 4.2% licorice (I will add that I drank tea when I took placebo tablets and a few days before taking a placebo). Could this affect the performance of vibin mini? Am I protected from pregnancy during this time?

To @Ania:
Herbitussin Honey & Lemon flavour contains traces of licorice and does not affect the effectiveness of birth control pills. You can combine these preparations and the protection is preserved.

Here you can compare the prices of this preparation in online pharmacies and place an order with home delivery or pickup at the pharmacy:

In cities such as Warsaw, Wroclaw, Łódź, Krakow, Katowice, Lublin, Poznan or Bialystok, products can be ordered with instant delivery even in 1 hour thanks to the Wolt Drive service - check if the service is available in your location: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/koszyk/szybka-dostawa?src=zf

herbitussin honey and lemon does it have an effect on the contraceptive pill vibin ? I know it has licorice in it, and I took the pill because I had a sore throat. I only took one pill. Could this have reduced the effectiveness of my contraception?

To @Janina Z.: Drug manufacturers do not include all potential drug interactions in their leaflets, m.in because they are not always known, sufficiently studied, or clinically relevant. Therefore, if you are chronically using any medicines, you should seek the advice of your pharmacist or doctor before starting to use other medicinal products or dietary supplements yourself. Summarizing the information about drinking licorice teas when using Levomine contraceptive pills: - The compounds contained in licorice can both intensify side effects and reduce the effectiveness of oral contraceptive hormones. - In tea from 3% dried licorice root there are negligible amounts of compounds responsible for such action, so drinking it, even daily, should not have a significant effect on the action of tablets. - However, if you prefer to be completely careful or observe disturbing side effects of tablets, and drinking licorice infusions is not necessary, for peace of mind it will be better to avoid products containing licorice.

Hi, various information goes on the net in connection with licorice m.in. that reduces the effectiveness ... I have been drinking tea for about 3 weeks nettle lasts lemon and 3% dried licorice root. Hence my question whether the protection has been disturbed or not? Because I don't know anymore... whether it lowers or only causes a possible increase in side effects. I read that somewhere on some advice, that drinking tea with licorice 4.3% reduces the effectiveness unless you rarely drink. I unconsciously drank one tea a day and it was within a distance of the pill but I'm worried. In the leaflet from Levomine there is no information about herbs and supplements that they supposedly lower. There is only St. John's wort. That's why manufacturers don't write it? This is very important information. Greetings and please reply back.
