I have been taking Duloxetine 90 mg for 4 months, after which I feel bad and do not see the effect of the treatment - what to do?

For about 4 months I have been taking duloxetine for a severe new depressive episode (fie first 3 months 120mg daily, for about 1 month 90 mg daily). Since I have been taking the remedy, I have severe constipation, visual disturbances and Lichtempfindlichkeit. In the last few weeks I have been looking for extradystoles and tachycardia. I can't see any significant improvement in depression either?. The psychiatrist (trivializes) the NW and demands the continuation in the same dosage (90mg/day). What can I do?

The symptoms described above, such as constipation, blurred vision, increased blood pressure may be a side effect of Duloxetine (especially when using high doses of this medicine). If the side effects are intensified, and in addition, no effects of the treatment are visible (the patient should start to feel improvement after 2-3 weeks of treatment), it is worth consulting the doctor again about the sense of continuing the treatment. Do not change medications or adjust the dose yourself (risk of withdrawal symptoms).
