12.99 zł

Is the drug stopped working can increase the dosage. I have heard that in England the drug is treated on an equal footing with Benzodiazepines, is it true. Because I used to be addicted to the drug leriwon 6 times in the hospital, it was 22 years ago

As recent research shows, pregabalin can cause mental and physical dependence. Tolerance may also have developed, so a dose of 75 mg in the morning and evening may no longer be effective enough.

Perhaps due to the risk of developing tolerance and addiction, pregabalin has been treated as benzodiazepines, but these are completely different drugs, with different mechanisms of action and different safety profiles. They should not be compared.

Pregabalin acts on the central nervous system by affecting nerve transmission by binding to calcium channel subunits in neurons. It has anxiolytic, analgesic, and sedative effects, but the same mechanisms can lead to the development of tolerance and dependence. However, this usually does not apply to a low dose of 75 mg, and higher doses – especially higher than recommended. The risk of developing addiction, on the other hand, is higher in people who have been dependent on other drugs in the past – which is the case with you.

Therefore, you should consult your doctor and inform you about the situation. You may need to increase your dose or change your treatment.

Any side effects you observe should be reported to your doctor who will decide on further action.
