Can Trittico and Mirtazapine be combined?

Is it possible to combine triptych and mirtazapine? My grandmother takes 75mg of triptych and now they have introduced 1/4 of mirtazapine 30mg, how is it advisable to reduce the triptych?

Trittico and Mirtazapine are two different antidepressants that can be used together. Combining these drugs can be beneficial because they have slightly different mechanisms of action and can complement each other.

However, the concomitant use of Trittico and Mirtazapine may increase the risk of side effects such as drowsiness, fatigue or dizziness.
Therefore, when combining these drugs, it is recommended to gradually reduce the dose of trazodone to avoid excessive sedation.

If your grandmother is taking Trittico and Mirtazapine at the same time, it is important to exercise caution and follow your doctor's instructions for dosage and medication schedule. Your doctor may advise you to gradually reduce your dose of Trittico when Mirtazapine is introduced to minimise the risk of side effects.
