I took only one contraceptive pill on the first day of the cycle - will this one pill affect my period and will ovulation occur on the same day as usual?

I took one contraceptive pill on the first day of the cycle. I felt bad after it, so I didn't take a single one anymore. The period is already 6 days. Does this one pill affect him? Will ovulation occur on the same day of the cycle as before taking the tablet?

It is difficult to assess what effect one tablet taken on the first day of the cycle will have on the length of menstrual bleeding - probably small. The inhibitory effect on ovulation (i.e. inhibition of the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis) occurs 7 days after continuous use of hormonal contraception. In your case, ovulation will not be inhibited, but it is difficult to predict whether it will occur on the same day as usual.

In case of any doubts, I encourage you to consult a gynecologist - on our website it is possible to use the teleadvice available in the e-visit tab:
