The Escapelle tablet can be used up to 72 hours after unprotected intercourse, and the EllaOne tablet - up to 120 hours. The effectiveness is greatest if the preparation was taken as soon as possible. Since the "after pill" is a prescription-only drug, the final decision on its use should be made by the doctor.
