When can alcohol affect the absorption of substances contained in the contraceptive pill?
19.99 zł

Hello, on Saturday evening by the fire I drank 4 flavored beers (4.5%), I took at 21.30 as every day a tablet of Azalia, in the morning at 9 on Sunday I passed a loose stool and another at 11 o'clock. I don't know if it could have been diarrhea, but later it was okay. I know that after 3-4 hours after taking the pill it will be absorbed but I'm not sure how it is in the case of drinking a few beers? Alcohol slows down the absorption of tablets. In this situation, did the tablet also manage to absorb despite passing a loose stool at 9 o'clock? Let me add that the last beer I drank around 23/24.

To @Monika: I see no cause for concern here too.

Thank you very much for your answer and I should not be afraid if I finished the last beer around 1 am?

If the tablet was taken at 9.30 p.m. and the passing of loose stool took place the next morning, the effectiveness of contraception remains preserved. In the case described in the question, there is no risk that the active substances contained in the contraceptive pill have not been absorbed. Therefore, there is no reason to worry about the effectiveness of contraception or the need for an additional method of preventing pregnancy. More about how to properly use contraception, we suggest in the text: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-prawidlowo-stosowac-antykoncepcje
