Hello. Does escapelle affect the effectiveness of hormonal contraception of combined pills, e.g. Viens, Atywia Daily? Do you need to additionally protect yourself or can you have intercourse without additional mechanical protection? Best regards

No, the Escapelle tablet has no effect on the contraception you are taking. After taking it, you should continue taking the tablets according to the scheme. Escapelle can be taken up to 72 hours after unprotected intercourse, but it is best to take the medicine within the first 12 hours. The more time passes since intercourse, the effectiveness decreases. The GdziePoLek.pl service also allows you to book a medicine in a selected stationary pharmacy and pick up after presenting a prescription: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/27577/escapelle-tabletki/apteki I suggest to be sure to take a pregnancy test on the day of the expected menstruation: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/test-ciazowy-jaki-wybrac-i-kiedy-zrobic

To @Jola: If you have taken the Escapelle tablet because you have missed the contraceptive pill, use additional protection for a further 7 days after missing a dose according to this leaflet. In itself, the Escapelle pill does not weaken the effectiveness of birth control pills.

So I understand that further intercourse is still secured normally as if you did not take escapelle?
