Is it possible for brain fog / covid that methylphenidate (stimulant) will be prescribed? I understand that in this case it could only be rewritten under the "off label"? Is there even a slightest chance that such a drug will be prescribed? I ask because the diagnosis costs about PLN 600 (2h), and if there was a shadow of a chance that in the case of confirmation of the occurrence of brain fog, methylphenidate could be prescribed, I would gladly go for such a diagnosis. And I will take the opportunity to ask if brain fog / covid counts as any of the medical conditions or disorders from the following list (contraindications for issuing a gun license): 1) organic mental disorders including symptomatic syndromes; 2) mental and behavioural disorders caused by the use of psychoactive substances, excluding smoking; 3) schizophrenia, schizophrenia (schizotypal) and delusional disorders; 4) mood disorders (affective); 5) anxiety, obsessive-compulsive, dissociative, somatic disorders; 6) chronic reaction to severe stress and adjustment disorders; 7) chronic behavioural disorders associated with physiological disorders and physical factors, excluding sexual dysfunctions not caused by an organic disorder or somatic disease; 8) personality disorders; 9) disorders of habits and drives; 10) disorders of sexual preference (fetishistic transvestism, exhibitionism, viewing, pedophilia, sadomasochism); 11) mental retardation; 12) pervasive developmental disorders; 13) behavioral and emotional disorders usually beginning in childhood and adolescence.
