Does it make sense to perform beta hCG 13 days after intercourse?

Will 13 days after intercourse, beta hcg be reliable? I do not know if it makes sense to do at all, unprotected intercourse was 02.12, menstruation was supposed to be 27.11 but I got a delay 10.12. so can it be ruled out that fertilization occurred?

It is believed that the earliest beta hCG test can be performed about 8 – 10 days after fertilization. Thus, a period of 13 days after intercourse will be appropriate for performing the test. Bleeding does not always indicate the absence of pregnancy, so for my psychological comfort I would recommend taking a urine and blood pregnancy test.
