Good morning. Question about hormonal contraception - I have been taking pills for 8 months, for the last 2 months about a week before the onset of withdrawal bleeding brown spotting appears. I don't even know if I can call it spotting - it's rather a discharge colored brown, sometimes with small clots(?). I am waiting for an appointment with a gynecologist, however, I am concerned about this symptom.

A gynecologist can comment on the possible causes of spotting after collecting a detailed interview and conducting an examination. Based on the information collected, your doctor may decide whether to change your contraceptive pills.
