Are lower abdominal pains when using Microgynon 21 normal?

Hello, Microgynon 21 is my first birth control pill. I have been taking them for a week and for several days my lower abdomen hurts, these are cramps for the period, but there is no blood. I took the first tablet on the first day of the cycle. Is this normal? Maybe my body is getting used to it?

Lower abdominal pain is a common side effect of contraceptive pills - it is an individual reaction of the body to changes associated with taking hormones contained in pills. Their occurrence does not indicate a malfunction of contraception.
