Will fiber somehow interfere with the absorption of the pill if, for example, a dish with fiber was eaten an hour before taking the contraceptive pill?

Good morning, will fiber somehow interfere with the absorption of the pill if, for example, a dish with a bloannik was eaten an hour before taking the contraceptive pill? I will add right away that I do not have diarrhea after fiber or only in this way the protection can be reduced?

No, our meals consist of different ingredients that are usually balanced. In this case, I mean additional fiber preparations - in loose or tablet form - which are taken in a larger amount than in a standard meal and which, when consumed, constitute a certain volume in the digestive tract.

But, for example, in food it will no longer have an effect?

Fiber (taken as a separate preparation) can affect the absorption of the tablet from the gastrointestinal tract, which means that the effect of the drug may be delayed or insufficient. In order to maintain the effectiveness of contraceptive pills and not to give up taking fiber, it is worth keeping a time interval and taking the above-mentioned preparations at other times of the day (e.g. fiber at 8 am, pill at 17). I encourage you to read the article - there you will find a lot of important information about drugs that interfere with the action of hormonal contraception: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jakie-leki-oslabiaja-skutecznosc-antykoncepcji
