When does the beta hCG determination give a reliable result?

The results of the determinations mentioned in the wording of the question do not indicate pregnancy. It is assumed that a beta hCG result below 10mlU/ml the presence of pregnancy means no pregnancy. In the case of beta hCG determinations from the blood, the test can be performed as early as 8-10 days after possible fertilization, i.e. before the day of the expected menstruation. In the case of beta hCG determinations in the urine, the test can be performed at the earliest on the day of the expected menstruation.
