Good morning. I started taking duloxetine mylan, I have frequent headaches and I have always taken Ibuprom for pain. I see that there is an interaction between one drug and another. So I can't take Ibuprom now? I will only add that I still take contraception belara, and this can not be supposedly combined with paracetamol.. Why? Thank you very much for your reply.

Taking duloxetine (the active ingredient in Duloxetine Mylan) together with ibuprofen (the active ingredient in Ibuprom) may contribute to an increased risk of gastrointestinal bleeding, which can be dangerous in patients who have a sick stomach, duodenum or inflammation of the intestines. I do not know your state of health, so I can not say unequivocally whether Ibuprofen can be used in your case. You should consult your doctor, what painkillers, in what doses and for what period of time you can safely use in your individual case (the type of pain or its location may also be important). For patients at risk, the doctor may allow the combination of duloxetine with ibuprofen with the addition of a drug that protects the gastric mucosa. Paracetamol with contraceptive pills can be used, although it is recommended not to exceed a dose of 3000 mg per day, since in high doses paracetamol can disrupt hormone metabolism.
