Drovelis is a combined contraceptive containing estetrol and drospirenone. When used correctly, they are characterized by high contraceptive effectiveness. Drovelis contains 24 active tablets and 4 placebo tablets. When using placebo tablets, so-called withdrawal bleeding should occur. During the first few months of using the drug (usually 3 - 6) there may be irregular bleeding and spotting, which is associated with the so-called adaptation period to use the drug: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/111326/drovelis-tabletki-powlekane/ulotka Any drug used may cause side effects, but this does not mean that every patient will experience them. The most commonly reported side effects of Drovelis are, m.in, mood disorders and impaired libido, headache, abdominal pain, nausea, acne, breast pain, painful menstruation, weight fluctuations. If you observe the occurrence of side effects of the drug, I encourage you to report them. Reporting side effects allows you to increase control over medicines available on the market. We wrote about how and why to report side effects in the article: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-i-dlaczego-zglaszac-dzialania-niepozadane I encourage you to read additional materials that may be useful: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/antykoncepcja-hormonalna https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-prawidlowo-stosowac-antykoncepcje https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jakie-leki-oslabiaja-skutecznosc-antykoncepcji

I have been taking the Drovelis for 5 months and every time after the 23rd day of the cycle I got spotting that lasted until the pill break, is this normal and can I do something about it? and please don't tell me that it can take up to 6 months for my body to get used to it....

Hello I read negative comments about drovelis, I'm a bit scared and a week that I use it and I have spots on my face never had, is it due to this? Because I have always used briladonna and it has never given me problems of these spots, pimples advice

Zoib (Anonymous, 31.0.77.) 32 days ago

The first 8 months of use were great. I've only noticed more hair on the floor, but I'm also taking ozempic so it could have overlapped on both sides. On the 9th month, terrible pain in the lower abdomen, spotting continuously for 2 weeks. Is this normal after taking the pills for so long?

Angela (Anonymous, 101.56.107.) 48 days ago

I have been taking lutiz for a duration of 10 years for polycystic ovaries and then acne. I felt good, perfect face and hair. On the advice of the gynaecologist I changed it to DROVELIS because it is of the latest generation but I noticed a worsening of the skin and hair loss. However, I noticed a reduction in my body weight. Frequent headaches, zero sex drive. Back to lutiz.

To @Anna:

Yes, you can combine Drovelis and Asertin tablets with Liporedium 40+. These medicines do not have clinically relevant interactions with each other that would preclude their combined use.

I encourage you to inform your doctor about all the medications and dietary supplements you use, which will allow you to choose safe and effective pharmacotherapy. Only your doctor can judge whether a combination of these drugs is safe and appropriate for your current clinical condition.

If you are concerned about this situation, it is always a good idea to consult a doctor who can give you more personalized advice. If you do not have the opportunity to take advantage of the advice, I am attaching a link to the online teleconsultation:

Can Drovelis I Asertin be combined with Liporedium 40+?

Adrianna (Anonymous, 94.40.91.) 2 months ago

I take the pills for half a year at the beginning of abdominal pain, nausea, weight +7kg, swollen breasts and aching, mood swings, complete lack of desire for sex, painful menstruation. My doctor said that it was definitely not from the pills, I would like to add that I do not have an increased appetite, I eat the same all the time, or even less, because for 2 months I have been trying to lose what I gained in the first month of taking the pills 😅. I'm finishing the packaging and thank you already for this product.

This is an individual matter - usually side effects disappear within 1-2 weeks of discontinuation of the drug.

Hello. I took Drovelis tablets for 11 months. Libido did not drop. There were many other side effects, the worst of which was hair loss:(((

Iris (Anonymous, 151.18.43.) 4 months ago

Terrible! I lost all my hair because of Drovelis! I have always taken care of them and now they are very few and unwatchable!

Edyta (Anonymous, 79.236.183.) 4 months ago

Can Drovelis pills cause hair loss? Has anyone encountered such a side effect?

anonim27 (Anonymous, 77.65.170.) 5 months ago

I've been taking these pills for 2 months, the weight has dropped, libido has not changed, so it's still high :) I feel good, I switched to drovelis after I got a spill on my face after Aktywia Daily. they work great for me

Gość (Anonymous, 84.107.12.) 5 months ago

Doctors should not assign these pills !! The side effects outweigh the benefits by ten times. I read about anxiety when you take placebo pills feeling like you have a deep depression. Unfortunately, everything is confirmed in my case. Libio zero. Breast pain, bloating, spotting, no bleeding. I'm waiting to finish the second pack and blacklist it.

To @Mama:

If you have concerns about the birth control pill and its potential effect on blood clotting, I strongly recommend that you consult your doctor.

It is also worth considering alternative contraceptive methods that may be more suitable for your condition.

Hello. I have been taking the pill for 4 days now. After my second birth. Before, I had the IUD. now I read that there may be problems with blood clotting ?! My gynecologist knows about my platelets that are too low. I'm thinking about it now. I've had my period for 5 days since today. I have to fight with nosebleeds from time to time. From an early age. And today was the case again. Now I'm unsure about the pill? Does anyone have a clue.

Julia (Anonymous, 94.136.152.) 7 months ago

I'm on Drovelis for 12 days but I won't continue taking them. I had terrible unusual side effects, already after fourth pill I had chest pain, it felt like pressure. It stopped after few days but then my legs started to hurt. I have calf cramps, yesterday my right ancle and foot started to hurt, my skin is very dry which was never the problem, I always had oily skin all year long. My doctor doesn't think these symptoms are caused by the pills. I don't take any other medication and started taking Drovelis because of ovarian cysts and pain during ovulation. I am in the ovulation phase right now and pain is worse than ever before. I had few anxiety attacks in these 12 days and my mood is getting worse. I really thought these pills will help me with my health issue but it seems like they did more damage and I hope everything will go back to normal when I stop taking them.

Response removed because: is not consistent with community rules.

Terrible pills, the worst I've taken so far. I take 2 months and want to wean as soon as possible. Insomnia, restless legs syndrome in the evenings, aching breasts, spotting, massacre. Nevermore

Antonina  (Anonymous, 188.146.126.) 8 months ago

Good morning, I'm 44 years old, I have not used contraception 15 years, the first 3 days fatigue slight dizziness, after 3 days everything is fine, breasts are larger and tender but it is not strong, I lost 2 kg, I have less appetite, a period of 4 days, I start another package, it feels different - but it's hormones ... Something has to change . I'll see after 3, the body must have time to adapt. After 1 is good

Magda (Anonymous, 195.116.23.) 9 months ago

the worst birth control pills I've ever had; Weight gain, water retention, cellulite, broken capillaries on the legs, migraines, acne, aching breasts, bloating are just some of the side effects that, as I read the comments, affect most women who use this alleged miracle of technology. In addition, the price knocks you off your feet - over PLN 50 for ONE PACKAGE; No wonder they are so eagerly prescribed by all these greedy people...

Marta (Anonymous, 85.221.246.) 9 months ago

I lasted 3 months, a period throughout the entire period of taking pills, sore breasts, now I have a lot of broken capillaries on my legs after these tablets

Magda (Anonymous, 5.173.196.) 9 months ago

I wrote an opinion two months ago: " Magda (anonymous, 178.16.114.) 54 days ago I've been taking drovelis since March (it's June) and the first two months have been hard, mood swings, terrible migraines. Then it's downhill, I really feel good on them and I can recommend them without remorse. Period from 3 to 7 days max. Nothing hurts, I haven't gained weight, zero problems." However, in mid-June everything I read on the forum began. Daily bleeding, a very strong "period", uterine pains, nausea, headaches, bloating. Visit to the gynecologist - change of tablets. The daily bleeding lasted nearly 3 weeks because we had to finish the blister to change the pills. Something terrible, I do not recommend

Ula  (Anonymous, 79.185.207.) 9 months ago

I have been taking pills for half a year, these are my first birth control pills in my life. From the beginning of taking medication I noticed a lot of breast pain, which stopped with time but the feeling of swollen breasts remained, depressive states, irritability, a month after use I gained 10 kg! Libido has completely decreased, at the beginning of spotting, slight bleeding during menstruation, currently no bleeding or spotting for 2 months. Swollen legs and menstrual pain despite the absence of menstruation and endless intimate infection. I reported it to my gynaecologist, I heard 'something for something'. However, I think I will stop taking this drug.

Weronika (Anonymous, 195.136.19.) 9 months ago

I'm on the 22nd day, I'm going to put it off when I'm done. Since yesterday I have been constantly nauseated, and throughout the cycle an even emotional state, but unfortunately rather negative, almost depressive. In addition, I have the impression that the complexion on the face is much redder. Apart from that, I had no other side effects, but a poor mental state is enough for me.

To @Kasiek: Yes, especially in the first months of using the tablets, bleeding disorders may occur, such as irregular or more heavy bleeding.

Karo (Anonymous, 37.47.92.) 9 months ago

Never in the life of these pills after 3 days drama calf pain, dizziness, headache, stomach pain. Insomnia. Plus shortness of breath and at the end came depressive states. I stopped them immediately. And I'm now being treated with antidepressants by it. I do not recommend.

Kasiek (Anonymous, 37.30.0.) 9 months ago

Hello, I started taking Drovelis on the first day of menstruation. Today is the 5th day and I have terribly heavy bleeding including clots (this was not there before). Is this normal when starting therapy?

Kasia (Anonymous, 5.184.208.) 10 months ago

I'm just weaning, I lasted 2 months. These wonderfully modern pills caused me such side effects that there was no point in taking them any longer. From the first day, muscle pain in the calves, accelerated heart rate, dizziness, nausea and constant heavy spotting and menstruation with a painful course than ever. Tablets were prescribed for anemia . Nevermore.

Ania (Anonymous, 156.17.159.) 10 months ago

I took from 7 months. The first 3 - quite ok, then menstruation was terribly painful, after 5 months. Diagnosed with enlargement of fibroids and very heavy bleeding. After discontinuation - cycle disorder and long bleeding (from 15 days)

To @Paula: Yes, such lower abdominal pain may accompany the use of placebo tablets (white) and withdrawal bleeding. Do not take a break between each Drovelis package.

Paula (Anonymous, 164.127.225.) 10 months ago

Hello, I take Drovelis tablets the first package, I took pink tables for two days I take white terribly my lower abdomen hurts, pulls incredibly is it normal? I take them because I have a cyst on my left ovary. I started bleeding as soon as I took the first white pill. Should I take a break between one pack or another?

Koko (Anonymous, 178.135.8.) 11 months ago

I took drovelis for 11 months. At the beginning everything was OK, well-being, "periods" like clockwork, no spots. After 7 months of use, pains, dizziness, sometimes abdominal pain began, I also had the impression that my breasts are constantly swollen. After all these symptoms, I decided to give up this form of contraception... After giving up the pills, menstruation returned to me exactly one month after the last tablet and now all menstruation is very regular.

Magda (Anonymous, 178.16.114.) 11 months ago

I've been taking drovelis since March (it's June) and the first two months were hard, mood swings, terrible migraines. Then it's downhill, I really feel good on them and I can recommend them without remorse. Period from 3 to 7 days max. Nothing hurts me, I have not gained weight, zero problems.

Iryda (Anonymous, 188.33.232.) 12 months ago

For my part, unfortunately, I do not recommend. I take less than 4 months and I have to stop them, I do not know if I can withstand until the end of the blister. In the first month I felt great, in the second libido dropped to zero, vaginal dryness, mood swings, breast pain. Nothing dramatic. But from the middle of the third month it is already a nightmare. Deregulated blood sugar level (I have disorders in this area since birth, but it has not been so bad for years ...), dizziness, lower abdominal pain, bloating, nausea, loss of appetite ... And the worst: depressive states; expanding liver pain; stabbing pain in the heart area combined with shortness of breath. These were my first contraceptive pills, I got them in total to regulate the menstrual cycle and in this respect they worked very well... But they alienated me from pills so much that I won't try any other :(

Maria (Anonymous, 46.204.44.) 12 months ago

I remember my experience with these pills very badly. I started taking Drovelis in November last year, after a month of taking pills I had mood swings and severe abdominal pain. My period, accompanied by dizziness and malaise, occurred on average every 10/11 days. I regret very much that only after 5 months (in March) I decided to go to another gynecologist, who explained to me the action of Drovelis tablets (they supposedly have less hormones) and prescribed other "Belara" with which I am very happy.

Karola  (Anonymous, 46.15.116.) 13 months ago

I do not recommend. Headaches, stomach pains and diarrhea. For this terrible calf pains and spiders on the legs.

Monika  (Anonymous, 46.134.182.) 13 months ago

I took these pills for three months. Already after the 3rd day I had breast swelling, which lasted the entire period of taking the pills. I had periods of max 3 days and they were in the form of spots. In addition, I noticed the appearance of spider veins on the legs and numbness of the limbs. After that, I got very scared and stopped taking the pills. Everything returned to normal after about two months. I will never take them again.
