Since when is it safe to have sex with a Mirena insole?
Hi, My question concerns the Mirena IUD, on February 1 I got menstruation while on February 5 I had an insert put on, since when can I safely coexist? On the leaflet jeat written that it works immediately, but the doctor recommended not to have sex for a week, so I did. However, I am afraid whether the insert fulfills its function because today, i.e. the 14th day of the cycle, there was a fertile service, and yesterday I had intermittent intercourse

The insole starts working from the first day after putting it on. The contraceptive properties of the Mirena system are related to its local action, which is why in most cases menstrual cycles will be ovulatory. Only in some women is it inhibited. Mirena is a method with high efficiency. Only about 2 in 1,000 women who used the Mirena intrauterine system correctly became pregnant within the first year, and about 7 in 1,000 women within five years. It is believed that the IUD begins to act as a contraceptive immediately, the lady kept an additional seven days, as recommended by the doctor.
