Good morning
I changed the tablets from Microgynon (21+7) to Slinda (24+4). I think that during the visit the gynecologist recommended that I finish taking Micrgynon, take a standard 7-day break and take Slinda on the day when I should start the blister as before. However, now after reading the leaflet, I have doubts whether I remembered correctly, please advise, thank you in advance.

According to the general principles of pharmacology, the safest method of switching from a two-component tablet (Microgynon) to a one-component tablet (Slinda) is to take the first tablet of the new drug the day after the end of the active tablets of the previous preparation (without a break). Such a scheme ensures the continuity of contraceptive protection.
However, if you want to use the 7-day break regimen mentioned by your doctor, your contraceptive protection may be weakened in the first week of using Slinda. The first 7 days are the adaptation period – so you should use additional protection in the form of a condom.
Please note that Slinda has a different profile of action and taking it after a break requires special time discipline to maintain the continuity of ovulation block.
