I'm in the middle of the second pack of Vibin mini and in three days I'm starting placebo pills. Today I unexpectedly got bleeding and it is accompanied by a feeling similar to the one I had during a normal menstruation (e.g. slight lower abdominal pain). What can this indicate? Is this normal?

Since this is an individual matter, it is difficult to predict how long the bleeding or spotting will last. Usually up to a week, but there are cases where bleeding lasts up to 2 weeks.
I encourage you to watch our short video:
And how long can such bleeding last?

If the pills were taken according to the manufacturer's recommendations, there is no reason to worry about the lack of effectiveness. For the first 3-4 months of using hormonal contraception, side effects may occur, such as reduced cycle control, i.e. irregular bleeding, mid-cycle spotting, prolonged or shortened periods of withdrawal bleeding. Usually, these types of ailments disappear on their own. Lower abdominal pain can also occur when using hormonal contraception and this is a common side effect (although in this case it may simply accompany bleeding). If the described situation does not normalize or will intensify in the next cycle, I encourage you to consult a gynecologist.
