I didn't take a break between packets of contraceptive pills and my period is late - what does it mean?

GOOD MORNING, I've been taking birth control pills since March and my period was late only in the first month of taking the pills. Now in July I didn't take a break for pills and my period is late, at the time when I should have my period I started to feel nauseous. What can it mean?

When using contraceptive pills, there is no typical menstrual period, but withdrawal bleeding, caused by a break in taking hormones (taking placebo pills or a break between subsequent packets of the drug).

If I understand correctly, you skipped the break between subsequent packs of pills, so it is normal that withdrawal bleeding did not occur. You can expect that spotting and mid-cycle bleeding may occur during the cycle - this is a common side effect of skipping a break.
