Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (such as Ibuprom) used in combination with SSRIs (e.g. Sertraline) may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. Caution is advised when taking these medications at the same time, especially in the presence of gastric symptoms such as peptic ulcer disease or inflammation. A safer painkiller in such a situation would be Paracetamol.
