What should I do if I took out the Ginoring ring for intercourse and forgot to put it in?
What to do if you took it out for intercourse on the second day after inserting the ginoring disc and forgot to put it in? After 20 hours I figured it out and put in a new disc. I also took a pill the day after ellaone. Will ellaone now interact with the disc in some way and pregnancy can occur?

1) What should I do if I have taken out the Ginoring ring for intercourse and forgot to put it in?
The disc can be removed for the duration of intercourse, but for a period of no more than 3 hours, so as not to lose contraceptive protection. In this situation, since the disc was outside the vagina for about 20 hours, the continuity of contraceptive protection was not maintained. You did well to take the Ellaone tablet.

2) Will Ellaone now interact with the disc in any way and pregnancy can occur?
EllaOne may reduce the effectiveness of the Ginoring contraceptive ring. In this case, you should use additional protection, e.g. condoms, for the next 4 weeks - until the start of the next menstrual cycle.
If pregnancy is suspected, it should be ruled out with a pregnancy test or a doctor should be consulted. We wrote more about which pregnancy test to choose here:
