When using contraceptive pills, there is no typical menstruation, but the so-called withdrawal bleeding, caused by a break in the supply of hormones. Bleeding or scanty spotting should usually occur on the 2-3rd day after the end of the tablets. If you do not observe such bleeding, it may be related to the transition of the hormonal axis to a new type of contraceptive pill. Some patients experience these symptoms in the first month of use (possibly less severe also in the second cycle on tablets) and should disappear spontaneously with the next pack. If complaints of similar or greater severity persist in the next cycle, please contact your gynecologist.
