Can I apply the contraceptive ring after a day if it has not been stored in the refrigerator?

During intercourse, my vaginal disc fell out. I wore it for the first 7 days. I realized only how the day passed after intercourse. Can I apply the same disc even though it was not in the fridge?

Follow the instructions in the package leaflet/summary of product characteristics. I give the Nuvaring disc as an example because it is stored in the refrigerator. "If the patient suspects or is sure that NuvaRing has been outside the vagina for more than 3 hours during the first or second week of use, the contraceptive efficacy of the NuvaRing vaginal therapeutic system may have decreased. The patient should reinstall the vaginal therapeutic system as soon as possible. In addition, mechanical contraceptive methods such as a male condom should be used for the first 7 days of NuvaRing vaginal therapy after reinsertion. The longer NuvaRing has been outside the vagina and the closer to the planned stoppage, the greater the risk of pregnancy." In this case, the manufacturer does not take into account the risk of lack of effectiveness associated with the effect of temperature on the disc, because the drug can be stored for up to 4 months outside the refrigerator. On our website you can check the availability of the drug and make a reservation at the pharmacy: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/55364/nuvaring-przyrzad/apteki I encourage you to read: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-prawidlowo-stosowac-antykoncepcje
