It all depends on when the intercourse took place. EllaOne is an emergency contraceptive method, called the morning-after pill. The preparation is used in emergency cases, when unprotected sexual intercourse occurred or when the contraceptive method used failed. To protect your pregnancy, take your tablet as soon as possible. It can be used up to 120 hours, i.e. up to 5 days after sexual intercourse. Escapelle is a postcoital contraception, to be used up to 72 hours after intercourse without the use of an effective method of preventing pregnancy or when the method has failed. It should be used as soon as possible after intercourse, preferably within 12 hours, no later than 72 hours. Both forms are effective, both should not be abused. Please remember that the preparations are available on the Polish market only with a doctor's prescription, so you should consult a specialist before taking the preparation.
