Good morning, I take Jeanine tablets for 10 months. In the 3rd week of taking the tablets from the blister, i.e. on the day of taking 16 tablets, I had to take the antibiotic Bioracef 500. At that time, I was at the gynecologist who prescribed me Nystatin VP for a vaginal infection - this drug I started using on day 18 tablets from a blister. According to the gynecologist's recommendations, I normally took a 7-day break, on the 2nd day of withdrawal I got bleeding. I finished taking the antibiotic on the 3rd day off. I am concerned about my mucus - throughout the entire period of taking the pills I always had white mucus, sticky, non-stretching. Now, from the 1st day of the withdrawal break, I have a stretching mucus, stained with blood, a consistency that reminds me of mucus at ovulation. Can such mucus indicate that I will ovulate? Or is it the result of the weakened effect of the tablets in week 3 resulting from taking an antibiotic? Or is it a matter of the effect of drugs on vaginal infection? I intend to use additional protection until next Tuesday, i.e. for 7 days after the end of antibiotic therapy, I will then take the 4th tablet from the blister. Will I already be protected against pregnancy?
