If you took the pills from the previous pack regularly and no active pill was missed in the 7 days before taking the placebo pills, the contraceptive protection is maintained. Birth control pills provide protection against conception after 7 days of regular use. Unfortunately, I do not know exactly what pills you ask. If oral contraception is used correctly and regularly, contraceptive protection is maintained during placebo use and on the day of the first tablet from the next pack. The risk of an unplanned pregnancy is then negligible.
