Hello, if I take inhaled glucocorticoids, will ellaone not work? I took a break from asthma medication for 4 days and took a pill, is there still a chance that the ingredients will react and contraception will be ineffective?

I do not know exactly what substances you are taking, but among the inhaled glucocorticoids (not oral) used in asthma, to the best of my knowledge, there are no substances that could interact clinically with ulipristal acetate (the active ingredient in EllaOne) and could significantly reduce its effectiveness. If the patient's condition does not require the administration of oral steroids, I found no contraindications to the use of the drug with ulipristal acetate (EllaOne). The affinity of a substance for the glucocorticoid receptor does not mean that all glucocorticoids must be discontinued. If the drug does not cause dangerous side effects, it is not recommended to stop it without consulting a doctor, especially if the treatment concerns a chronic disease, such as asthma. In such a situation (discontinuation of the drug), it is worth controlling the chronic disease more carefully. If, despite the return to the use of constantly taken medications, the course of the disease worsens, it is worth consulting a doctor treating the treatment.
