Is it possible to consume fruit juices during contraceptive treatment?

Hello, is it possible to consume fruit juices with anti tablets? Specifically, recently around 17:00 I drank 300 ml of red orange juice, at 19:00 I took a tablet (I drink water as always). Could the juice drunk earlier affect the tablets? Is it possible to drink this type of juices taking pills?

In the event that the tablet is not washed down with juice and the content of vitamin C consumed is small, this does not affect the effectiveness of contraception. You can safely consume juices, of course while maintaining rational principles of nutrition. Excessive amounts of juices can cause diarrhea or vomiting, which may reduce the effectiveness of contraception used (hence the proposal to maintain a time interval).

Thank you for your reply. The amount of vitamin C in the juice I wrote about is not large. In addition, in the link attached by you in one of the responses on the forum it is written that juices in themselves do not interfere with the action but can intensify side effects such as vomiting, which lead to a weakening of the effect - so how is it? Do the juices themselves interfere with the action? (Assuming that the amount of vitamin C consumed did not exceed 1000mg). However, is it really the case that it leads to side effects?

During hormonal treatment (contraception), the consumption of grapefruit juice and citrus juices should be avoided. The effect of oral contraceptive pills is influenced by vit. C, which is also in juice, consuming more than 1000 mg of vit. C per day may affect the effectiveness of birth control pills. Please check on the packaging of the selected juice what is the content of vitamin C in 100 ml of juice. Reducing the possible effect of juice on the action of the tablet can be achieved by using an appropriate interval (minimum 4 hours before and 4 hours after taking the tablet).
