Does diarrhea reduce the effectiveness of contraception?

Hello, I had a one-time diarrhea 40min after taking the contraceptive pill. It was the first tablet after a 7-day break. Is the tablet absorbed?

There is a small probability that the tablet has not been absorbed. In the case of severe gastrointestinal disorders (e.g. vomiting or diarrhoea), the absorption of the medicinal product may decrease. Management in the first week of taking the pills consists of taking another contraceptive pill from the blister within 12 hours, and if this has not happened, it is treated as an omission of the dose. Take the overdue tablet as soon as possible – even if it means taking two tablets at once – and use additional contraceptive methods for the next 7 days. If intercourse has occurred, the possibility of becoming pregnant should be taken into account.
