How to change the contraception used - from Microgynon-21 tablets to Adaring disc?

Good morning, I would like to ask, if I switch from Microgynon contraceptive pills to the Adaring intravagment disc, should I take a 7-day break after using 21 pills? However, should I apply the disc the next day after the end of the package or on the first day of menstruation? Thank you in advance for your reply.

To @Monika: You can take a 2-day break between the tablets and the puck. Protection will be maintained. It is important that the interval between the tablets and the disc is not longer than 7 days. So the maximum interval between inserting the disc and the last Microgynon tablet can last 7 days.

In that case, if I finish the tablets on Tuesday, should I apply the disc, e.g. 2 days after finishing the tablets or should I wait 7 days and apply the first disc?

Proper use of the Adaring disc should be started at the latest after a 7-day break in the use of Microgynon-21 tablets. You can start using the disc on any day of using the tablets (assuming that you use the tablets correctly): https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/98006/adaring-przyrzad/apteki More about how to use contraception correctly, we wrote in the article: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-prawidlowo-stosowac-antykoncepcje
