Good morning. The gynecologist prescribed me Vibin mini contraceptive pills, but he added that the first package does not protect against pregnancy, only each subsequent one. I have never taken any hormonal contraception before, but the information I found on the leaflet and also on the Internet shows that the pills protect against pregnancy immediately if they are taken on the first day of the cycle

This is exactly the case - taking the first contraceptive pill on the first day of the cycle provides you with immediate protection against pregnancy. The data contained in the leaflet and the Summary of Product Characteristics are true. If you took the first tablet on another day of the cycle, then you would have to protect yourself for 7 consecutive days.
