What effect does alcohol have on the Orlifique tablet? I took the first tablet from the new package an hour later than I should. 30 minutes earlier I drank alcohol and after taking the tablet after about 10 minutes I also drank alcohol but not a large amount. I didn't vomit. Will the protection be preserved?

For @Gosia: In the described situation, the contraceptive protection of the pills has been preserved, so there is no need to use additional methods of contraception.
So in the described situation I can have sex without protection?

Alcohol itself does not affect the effectiveness of contraceptive pills and does not weaken their effect. However, you should not drink pills with it. Alcohol can interfere with the effectiveness of birth control pills if its consumption - especially excessive - leads to vomiting or diarrhea. Gastrointestinal disorders can cause the tablet not to be absorbed completely and will not work effectively. Alcohol is also a risk factor for skipping the pill.
