Yes, you can skip the withdrawal bleeding break again. You can skip the 7-day break, but for a maximum of 3 consecutive cycles. Regular skipping of the break can lead to overstimulation of the endometrium by the hormones contained in active pills, which leads to its exfoliation and mid-cycle spotting - hence such a frequent practice is not recommended.

Hello, I have a question about the drug. I was there for the first time in my life. My question is this: on May 27th, I have cervical spine surgery and the 2nd day of my menstruation falls, will I start taking pills in April with the day of my first menstrual period. I want not to postpone the surgery because I am suffering and I have been waiting for it for a long time. Please reply. Thank you

To @Olya:

Yes, you can shorten the break from 7 to 5 days and start a new pack earlier.

The standard interval between packets of birth control pills is usually 7 days, but it can be safely shortened. Shortening the break to 5 days is acceptable and does not adversely affect the effectiveness of contraception. On the contrary, it can even increase contraceptive protection, as it shortens the period in which you do not take hormones.

It is important to note that with shortening the interval, withdrawal bleeding may be shorter or less heavy, or even not at all. This is normal and does not indicate a reduction in the effectiveness of contraception.

Good afternoon. I started taking COCs from the first day
cycle, finished the first package, I take a break for 7 days. Is it possible to shorten this break to 5 days and start a second pack?

To @Pola: yes, you can not take a break. In this case, there are no contraindications to the absence of interruption in the use of contraception. You can use Lactovaginal the day after you finish treatment with Clotrimazole. The recommended dosage of Lactovaginal is 1-2 caps. once a day – morning and evening – for a period of 7 days. A doctor may decide whether to prolong the treatment.

Good morning, if I did not take a break in July with rigevidon tablets and took two packs at once, in August I took a break, can I now not take a break between packages again? I apply clotrimazole vaginal tablets and I would like to start lactovaginal afterwards, hence I do not want to take a break, is it possible? I have one more question, how long after treatment with clotrimazole tablets can I start using lactovaginal and how long should I use them? Thank you for your reply

To @julia: No, skipping a break does not affect the effectiveness of contraception.

I have a question, does skipping intervals between cycles have any effect on the effectiveness of contraception?

To @Karina: Yes, spotting/bleeding can last a long time - sometimes even throughout the cycle.

Karina (Anonymous, 89.64.36.) 3 years ago

Just if it can take so long I have such a small bleeding (spotting) for 15 days now

To @Karina: Spotting or midcyclic bleeding quite often occurs as a result of skipping a break for withdrawal bleeding.

Karina (Anonymous, 89.64.38.) 3 years ago

Hello, is it normal as I skipped 2 or 3 times a break of 7 days, and suddenly it started to fly as if I had a normal period it already lasts 7 days and I do not know if it is normal.
